The Big Scioty Open Band is practicing before the contra dances at First Congregational Church on first and third Saturdays. During summer we practice before the All Soles contra dances at the First Unitarian Universalist Church. See the dance schedule for times. We recently played for Mayapple Stomp. Everyone is welcome regardless of musical ability. Whether you are a beginning musician, an experienced one new to this area, experienced in playing other kinds of music, or whatever, you are welcome. We play slow to help beginners get up to speed.

We play tunes from the Cincinnati Open Band tune list. We'll start with tunes from "KY Contra tunes.pdf". You are welcome to bring sheet music from that list.
