English Country Dance Workshop and Ball

Pomerene Hall, 1760 Neil Avenue, Columbus, Ohio

October 27, 2007

Michael White will lead the dances in a workshop, "Taking Your Dancing to the Next Level," and at the Ball.

Music will be provided by Leslie Scott and Gretchen Kumlien at the workshop and by Cathy Grant and friends at the ball.

Pomerene Hall, on the campus of The Ohio State University, is a lovely old building, eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. We will be dancing in the Grand Lounge, a large room with oak-paneled walls.   There are window seats beneath large windows along two walls.  Parking on campus is often a concern for visitors; there is a parking garage at  1810 Neil Ave., just 2-3 minutes’  walk from the dance site.  Parking is $3 on weekends, payable on exiting the garage.

The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity to socialize and dance with other dancers in the region in the year between our biennial workshops with Bare Necessities. We also hope to raise some money to support the 2008 Columbus Country Dance Weekend, scheduled for October 24-26, 2008.
